Munich Media Monitoring (M3)

Munich Media Monitoring (M3) combines media use with media content. The project monitors the online exposure to media content through multiple lenses of how people actually use online media. This allows to answer questions on who saw what, almost in real time. Did young media skeptics see the whole scope of arguments on a given topic? Has a certain heated argument reached business owners? Were the perspectives of minorities included in the coverage that affected minorities saw? Stored in a large-scale database, the M3 project continuously presents its data via a free API that has explicitly been designed for the use cases of social scientists.
